… even though I’m exhausted and fatigue is washing over and throughout me, I’m still thankful for everything I’m fortunate enough to have. When I look around and see the people who love me enough to stick around, the home I live in, the bed I sleep in, the food that’s always stocked in my refrigerator, the money (as little as it may be!) in my bank account or piggy bank, the hot water that still runs from my faucet and showerhead, the clean water I’m safe to drink, the clothes I have a choice to switch up every so often, all down to each breath I am able to healthily breathe, or each blink of an eye I am able to functionally blink to keep my eyes from drying out - I can’t help but smile (weak right now, but nevertheless a smile!) and appreciate everything. I am thankful for my health, my family and friends, my job, my materialistic things, for today and … for being alive.
